Yashwant Congress | Yashwant Singh Congress

Yashwant Jaiprakash Singh has been fielded by the Congress Party as their candidate for the Charkop constituency in the upcoming 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections. His nomination came as part of the party’s second list of 23 candidates, which was announced on October 26. This list is part of the Congress’s strategy within the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition, which includes the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Shiv Sena (UBT). Each party within this coalition is contesting 85 seats in Maharashtra as they aim to secure a majority in the upcoming elections scheduled for November 20, with results expected on November 23.

Yashwant Singh’s candidacy aligns with the Congress’s focus on gaining influence in key Mumbai constituencies, which include Charkop, Kandivali East, and Sion Koliwada. His selection reflects the party’s efforts to strengthen its presence in Mumbai and appeal to a diverse electorate in this densely populated area. The Congress hopes to capitalize on its MVA partnership to challenge the ruling party and bring a unified front to the elections
